New To Yoga ?    Come see why thousands of people have incorporated yoga into their physical routine.  Get into shape and reduce stress with yoga.  It works.  Yoga is not a fad - it has been around for thousands of years.  Nothing would last that long if it did not work .
Yoga U offers  drop-in "all-levels"  vinyasa & flow yoga classes, workshops and special events.  You do NOT need to take an "Introduction to Vinyasa" class to attend classes.  These sessions are available to individuals that prefer to start with other beginners in a slower class format.

What is Vinyasa (power) yoga?  Vinyasa yoga  is a moving style of yoga done in a heated room.  It is a comprehensive total body workout.  This class is suitable to individuals in an established fitness routine with no health issues.  This is the class for improving physical conditioning and reducing stress.  You will sweat so dress accordingly and be hydrated.

What is Flow yoga?   is a slower, more gentle yoga class.  The room is NOT heated.  It is great for those looking for pleasant stretching and stress reduction.  Anyone returning to physical activity is encouraged to attend this class.

HELPFUL TIPS for First Timers:

Feeling nervous, scared or a little intimated?  Many people feel that way initially.  Don't let it stop you from coming to Class.  All of our classes are "all levels" - beginners enter into the classes every day.  Know that with patience and a little practice you will quickly feel right at home.

Good hydration supports the healthy function of your body's systems and makes the heated classes feel more comfortable rather than overwhelming.

Remember, everyone had their very first yoga class, even the people who have been coming for years.  They make it look easy because they gave it a chance and consistently attended classes.

A minimum commitment of 1 class a week is required to derive benefit from this yoga program.   After 3 months no one will have to tell you how great this yoga program makes you feel.  Your own personal experience will speak for itself.

WHAT should I bring ?

An open mind and a positive attitude.

Proper attire:  for the heated classes wear light clothing that you don't mind sweating in.  For the unheated classes dress warmly.

Yoga mat, large towel and water.  These items are also available for rent.
